How accurate is your mapping data?
All mapping is sourced from Ordnance Survey (OS), Great Britain’s national mapping agency, ensuring industry-leading positional accuracy and consistency. Note: OS datasets have different specifications; OS MasterMap Topography typically delivers sub-metre to ~1 m planimetric accuracy at large scales. What are the main product types — Basic, CAD and GIS?
- Basic extracts (PDF/JPG/PNG/TIFF/Word) — static, council-compliant plans for planning portals and 1:1250 location plans / 1:500 site plans (including for building warrants).
- CAD data — OS MasterMap® DWG/DXF for design, rights-of-light, utilities, measured survey; optional OS Height Data (DTM) for cut/fill.
- GIS data — MasterMap (SHP/GPKG), OS Terrain 5 (AOI/tiles), GeoTIFF basemaps for analysis in QGIS/ArcGIS.
Are your maps suitable for official submissions?
Yes. Our planning/location maps are produced from OS data under the Printed Products Licence and include a north arrow, scale bar and OS licence number, meeting local authority, Land Registry, and typical utility requirements. For design/analysis deliverables, use CAD/GIS data under the OS Data Licence (IBU).
Do you offer digital data for GIS and CAD software?
Yes — we supply DWG, DXF (CAD) and SHP, GPKG, GeoTIFF, GML (GIS), all georeferenced for immediate use in AutoCAD/MicroStation or QGIS/ArcGIS. Tip: For planning contexts, order Basic 1:1250/1:500 PDFs; for design/analysis, use MasterMap® DWG/DXF or GIS layers; for terrain, add DTM or OS Terrain 5 (AOI)/tiles.
How fast will I receive my order?
Most digital orders are delivered within minutes; typical service window is ~30 minutes fulfilment (7 am–11 pm, 7 days). Large CAD/GIS tile sets may take a little longer. All deliveries are fully compliant with OS licensing.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Yes — we cover Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales). Northern Ireland mapping is available separately on request.
Can I reuse or share maps and data across projects?
Licensing differs by product type:
Basic extracts — supplied under the Printed Products Licence for the specific submission/use; extra print copies must be licensed at checkout.
CAD/GIS data — supplied under the OS Data Licence – Internal Business Use (IBU)
IBU details
for your named project and authorised users/sub-contractors. Reuse on other projects or public publishing requires a new/appropriate licence.
